The Stroller that Redefines the Stroll: Baby Jogger® City Mini®

August 22, 2015

When I was researching all the things to put on my registry, I got so overwhelmed by strollers and car seats, I asked my husband to conquer the task. I’m glad I did because he made a wonderful decision: the Baby Jogger® City Mini®.

This stroller is super lightweight (one of the lightest on the market) and incredibly easy to fold up. It can recline almost all the way back, which was great when I started using it for Mila when she was about 9 lbs. And it will grow with the child too, holding up to 50 lbs.

The hood on top is extra long to shield her from the hot sun, but has two little windows so she can look out, and I can also see her. There is a mesh covering on the back that allows nice airflow, but you can cover this whenever you need.

There are several storage areas, including a pocket on the back and a generously large and open bottom area. I can usually fit a full-sized quilt, some diapers, my wallet, a notebook, a bottle of water, and a bag of groceries underneath. The front wheel can be locked  in place to only go straight or unlocked to swivel, which is ideal, and the back foot-brake is obvious and easy to use.

It comes in a variety of colors; usually I would go with black, but I also love neutrals and thought that this sandy color would suit us best. There is also a variety of add-ons you can purchase if you choose, including prams, cupholders, trays and belly bars, coolers, weather shields, etc.

When I'm out walking with her in the mornings, I regularly see others with Baby Joggers and we frequently joke in passing, "Hey, I like your stroller." One woman even came up to me in the grocery store and said, "Oh my gosh, how much do you love that stroller? I have one and I love it."

Even though doing lots of research to find the right fit for our family was daunting, I feel confident that we made the right choice by going with the City Mini®.
